What data we process
We may process account and app configuration data, usage data (for example sync events, technical errors, and aggregated metrics), user preferences, and information you provide to connect AI providers. Depending on connected providers, Scroogely may query third-party APIs (for example GitHub Copilot, OpenRouter, Cloudflare, AWS) to retrieve usage and spend data.
Provider credentials
Provider credentials/tokens are used to query provider APIs on your behalf. They are handled securely on the device/app side and are not publicly shared. We apply reasonable safeguards to reduce unauthorized access risk, but we do not claim absolute security.
Purpose of processing
We process data to provide Scroogely core features (usage/spend tracking), synchronize information, display reports and notifications, improve reliability and performance, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations.
Legal bases (GDPR)
Where applicable, we process personal data under contract performance or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interests to operate and improve the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), consent for optional processing (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Third-party providers and processors
To deliver the service, we may use technical providers (hosting, monitoring, infrastructure, technical analytics) and API integrations with providers you connect. These parties process data according to their roles and terms. Please review the privacy policies of third-party providers you use.
International transfers
Some vendors or API providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we use reasonable measures to support transfers in line with applicable law (for example standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms, where relevant).
Data retention principles
We keep data only for as long as needed for the purposes described above, considering legal obligations, operational needs, and dispute resolution requirements. Retention periods may vary by data type and service configuration.
Background refresh and notifications
Scroogely may refresh data in the background to keep dashboards and summaries up to date, and may send notifications (for example spending thresholds or anomalies). You can manage these options in your app or device settings when available.
Your rights

Security measures
We apply proportionate technical and organizational measures, including access controls, data minimization, and secure development practices. No system is risk-free, but we work to protect data with reasonable care.
Children and minors
Scroogely is not intended for children under 16. If you believe a minor has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, remove the data.
